No special permission is needed to bring a camera to our events, but we insist that all attendees adhere to the expectations laid out in the following Photography Guidelines:
- Photography is permitted and encouraged in all public areas of the convention, unless signs or staff indicate otherwise.
- Other than during stage based activities, and for photographs of the whole venue/event, permission must be sought from any individual you wish to photograph. It is forbidden to take any photo or recording of individuals without prior consent.
- If an attendee requests to see any photograph taken, we expect that you will oblige.
- In accordance with our Safety and Behaviour Guidelines we have a zero tolerance policy against any behaviour which is dangerous, constitutes unwelcome attention or intimidation, or causes undue disruption to events - this naturally extends to any behaviour associated with photography.
- Any photography which deliberately compromises the dignity of an attendee will result in prompt and appropriate action taken by event organisers.
- For the health and safety of all attendees, any equipment used must be held by the photographer. Free standing equipment or additional equipment held by other people e.g. light stands, is not permitted without agreement from the organisers.
- Any use of power sockets requires the permission of the organisers and the venue.
- Paisley Comic Con claims no rights over any photos taken at our events, and photographers maintain all rights associated with their images under UK copyright law.
- Attendees may not attempt to sell photography services or images to other attendees without a booked trading space or prior permission from the organisers.
- We remind anyone taking or posing for photographs to remain aware of their surroundings and be courteous to other attendees.
- Please be aware that by taking part in any organised, stage based activities, you consent to the photography of other attendees during that activity - we will not be able to restrict photography during these activities.
- Both photography and videography will be taking place throughout the weekend on behalf of the organisers. By entering the event, you consent to this photography/videography and any future use of these images by the organisers.
