2017 Guests and Exhibitors

In attendance at Paisley Comic Con 2017 was a selection of some of Scotland's most exciting and talented comic creators. Writers, artists and publishers shared their knowledge, experiences, skills and love of comics with us, and showcased their books and artwork.

Tanya Roberts

Tanya is a penciller, inker and colourist, and her art credits include awesome comics titles such as Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Toy Story, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Strawberry Shortcake, and the epic Plagued: The Miranda Chronicles with Gary Chudleigh - Writer, (see below).

Neil Slorance

Among many things, Neil is the co-creator of SICBA award winning adventure comicbook Dungeon Fun, he draws for Titan's Doctor Who comics, and has published a number of highly acclaimed autobiographical comic books. He recently becameThe National Newspaper's resident cartoonist too.

Gary Chudleigh

Gary is a letterer, writer, and founder of Obscure Reference Comics. He has written and produced a variety of comics across a spectrum of genres and publications, including the epic Plagued: The Miranda Chroniclesfor Black Hearted Press, and a reboot of the classic comic story Invisible, for D.C. Thomson & Co. Ltd.

John Lees

​John is the writer behind a number of internationally lauded books such as And Then Emily Was Gone, The Standard, and Quilte.
Most recently he penned for Teenage Mutatnt Ninja Turtles Universe series.

James Devlin

James has published works with Vertigo Comics, DC Comics, BHP Comics, Cult Empire and more, with titles including Testament, Supergirl, Blood Nation,Vietnam Zombie Holocaust, Saltire Comics, and Mark Millar's CLiNT magazine. ​

Gill Hatcher

Gill Hatcher is one of the creators and publishers behind Team Girl Comic.

As well as bringing along their books to our trading hall, and taking part in panels, Team Girl Comic will be in one of our workshop areas - we'll be jamming out some comic strips together so bring your drawing/writing hats!

Chris Baldie

Chris will be sharing his experiences of creating comics here in Scotland, and he's also helping host Paisley's first Drink & Draw event!
​

Traders

We have also hand picked a smorgasbord of traders who will be delighting us with comic books of every variety (from brand new small-press works, to signed and sought after rarities). Alongside them will be artists, crafters, and traders of  collectibles,  toys and geeky awesomness.
